Lake Tapps Real Estate — Two thousand acres of lake. Wake up early enough and it's yours.
About Lake Tapps
Built as a hydroelectric reservoir in 1911 by Puget Sound Power, Lake Tapps was created by damming three smaller lakes and flooding the basin between them. The dam's commercial use ended in 2003, but the lake stayed — a 2,500-acre playground that became one of the South Sound's most desirable waterfront communities. Lakefront homes here move when they hit the market. Off-water homes are still attainable.
